The Bethesda Dental Spa and Dr. Baer believe that once your child is old enough to sit in the dental chair for 10-15 minutes it is time to start their regular check-ups. It is best to have them comfortable in the dental office and see it as a fun positive experience. You do not want your child's first time to be when they fall and chip a tooth. The Bethesda Dental Spa incorporates the latest technology in preventative care for children and adults. We can prevent cavities from forming with the right consistent care. Sealants are a big part of the decrease in cavities in our youth. We do not use any mercury or fluoride materials with our pediatric patients. We often remove decay with ozone; an all natural oxygen treatment which can at times allow us to avoid traumatic drilling. We also treat all teeth with ozone before sealing them. We offer orthodontic treatment with a philosophy that prevention and early treatment is our goal.
